“My journey at Picacho began in 2021, when my family and I moved to Cabo while trying to escape the quarantine in Mexico City. The plan was originally to stay for six months and return once in-person school resumed. However, when we arrived, we were amazed by the people, the environment, and the quality of life in Cabo. What was meant to be temporary quickly became something more permanent.
Starting at Picacho was a big change for me. At first, I felt nervous because I didn’t know anyone, but I was surprised by how quickly I met kind people and formed close friendships. I felt welcomed from the beginning and was able to adapt much faster than I expected.
Since joining Picacho, I have faced academic challenges, and this year in particular has been intense at times. However, those experiences helped me grow, become more resilient, and better understand who I am. As I approach my final weeks here, I realize how much I will miss seeing these people every day and the moments we shared.”
