Highlights

“My journey at Picacho began in 2021, when my family and I moved to Cabo while trying to escape the quarantine in Mexico City. The plan was originally to stay for six months and return once in-person school resumed. However, when we arrived, we were amazed by the people, the environment, and the quality of life in Cabo. What was meant to be temporary quickly became something more permanent.

Starting at Picacho was a big change for me. At first, I felt nervous because I didn’t know anyone, but I was surprised by how quickly I met kind people and formed close friendships. I felt welcomed from the beginning and was able to adapt much faster than I expected.

Since joining Picacho, I have faced academic challenges, and this year in particular has been intense at times. However, those experiences helped me grow, become more resilient, and better understand who I am. As I approach my final weeks here, I realize how much I will miss seeing these people every day and the moments we shared.”

Iñaki Cuenca Berrondo, accepted to IE University, Bachelor in Data and Business Analytics

“My time at Picacho has been full of growth, memorable moments, and experiences that helped shape who I am today. Over the years, I learned the importance of discipline, responsibility, and always pushing myself to improve.
Some of my favorite memories that I will cherish forever are spending time with my best friends, playing and watching the Coque League, and sharing laughs throughout the school day.

The friendships I built here are something I will always value. My friends made the challenges easier and the good moments even better, turning school into a place full of energy, connection, and laughter. Even simple things, like going to the cafeteria and enjoying the delicious homemade food by Lore, made our days feel warm and familiar.
All these experiences — friendships, traditions, and the positive atmosphere — helped shape who I am today.

Looking ahead, I feel grateful for everything Picacho has given me and confident as I move on to the next chapter.”

Loreta Gonzalez, accepted to University of St Andrews, Psychology

“I have been part of Picacho McGregor since 5th grade in elementary school, and my experience here has been incredibly meaningful. Over the years, I’ve met some of the kindest and most supportive people who have helped shape my journey.

One of the things I value most about Picacho is the relationship between students and teachers. Classes are interactive, and teachers are always willing to help and answer questions, which made learning a much more engaging experience.

During my time here, I also discovered what truly interests me: technology and engineering. The environment around me encouraged curiosity and motivated me to keep exploring the things I enjoy. Looking back, I feel grateful for everything this community has given me. The experiences, friendships, and lessons I gained here have shaped who I am today and prepared me for the next step in my journey.”

Mateo Palma, accepted to Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM), Mechanical Engineering
